For the last decade, Jerry Howard, of Hettinger, N.D., has been working with NDAD for assistance with the prescriptions related to his diabetes.

“Insulin isn’t cheap. NDAD has made my life a little easier,” Jerry notes. His doctor’s office referred him to the financial assistance program for prescription medications about 10 years ago. He’s been a loyal supporter ever since. 

NDAD’s Prescription Assistance Program provides access to free or reduced cost prescriptions for individuals of all ages with disabilities or chronic health conditions. To receive assistance, individuals must complete an application and qualify based on NDAD guidelines. North Dakotans and individuals living in direct bordering state communities are encouraged to apply.

Jerry goes on to share his experience with our Bismarck office. “It’s been a good experience. I might have to pay a little bit of co-pay, but I don’t mind that. I tell others to call NDAD. They can probably help them, too.”
