NDAD Park: A Fully Inclusive Playground Coming to Grand Forks

NDAD and the Grand Forks Park District are proud to announce the development of a new fully inclusive playground at NDAD Park, located near Discovery Elementary. Thoughtfully designed with inclusion at its core, this welcoming space will offer opportunities for people of all abilities, ages, and backgrounds to play, connect, and belong.

A Community-Centered Partnership

Construction on the project began in early May and was made possible through a generous gift from NDAD to the Grand Forks Park District. This investment reflects a shared commitment to accessibility, independence, and community inclusion in Grand Forks—values that guide both organizations and help shape public spaces that truly serve everyone.

Designed for Play, Connection, and Belonging

The playground was developed collaboratively by NDAD and the Grand Forks Park District, with input from educators at Discovery Elementary to ensure the space supports children of all ages and abilities. The design includes features that encourage physical activity, sensory engagement, and social interaction—creating meaningful play experiences that invite participation from everyone.
