NDAD has moved its Fargo office to its new location in the Amber Valley commercial district. The new address is 4642 Amber Valley Parkway S, Fargo. The phone number remains the same: 701-281-8215.

The new location increases the services available and allows for more convenient access. “We have more space for equipment and ample parking,” shares DeAnn Burckhard, NDAD Marketing Director. “Even more, we are now able to offer our accessible van loan program to the Fargo area. This will help more wheelchair users have better access to places and events that may have been difficult to reach otherwise.” NDAD’s Fargo office has two accessible vans with ramps for people who are full-time wheelchair users and their driver. Individuals interested in this or any of NDAD’s services should contact the office for details.

NDAD’s Fargo region serves the counties of Cass, Barnes, Stutsman, Logan, LaMoure, Ransom, Richland, McIntosh, Dickey and Sargent. It’s staffed by Kim Zeeb, Client Services Representative, and Sheila Massie, Administrative Assistant, both with many years of experience working with NDAD’s clients. NDAD will be hiring an additional Client Services Representative to serve this region this spring.

Those in the service area have access to NDAD’s full complement of offerings. The non-profit charity offers direct financial assistance through many programs. After an application process, individuals may have access to assistance for prescription medications, out-of-town medical travel, medical equipment and supplies, home and vehicle accessibility, local accessible transit, accessible van loan program, personal attendant care and adaptive recreation. NDAD’s popular Healthcare Equipment Loan Program (HELP) also remains available. HELP provides free loans up to 90 days for people who need crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, canes, knee walkers, shower chairs, benches, toilet risers, scooters or other types of durable home medical equipment.
