The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

Gary Edwards wanted to use his new scooter at destinations away from his south Grand Forks residence. He wanted to add a scooter lift to his SUV, but he couldn’t afford its purchase on his own. He turned to NDAD for help. So, he turned to NDAD to apply for assistance.
