The mission of NDAD is to enhance the quality of lives of individuals facing health challenges.

Charitable nonprofit NDAD — the North Dakota Association for the Disabled — was founded 50 years ago by concerned citizens for the purpose of assisting people with disabilities and health challenges in the state of North Dakota, many of whom were ineligible for services from other agencies. NDAD’s reach also includes border communities in surrounding states. NDAD offers direct financial assistance, health care equipment loans, adaptive recreation resources, and information, referral and advocacy services.

Several NDAD clients explain how our services helped them and also offer hope for others.

“They were lifesavers,” she said about NDAD. “You know, if it weren’t for them, there’s no way I could have gone anywhere.” NDAD’s Grand Forks staff “is just outstanding. There was never any question. It was just, ‘if there’s a need, yep, we have it. Yep, you can get it.’”
