A memorial benefit will be held Oct. 16 for Grand Forks' Rob Hanson, who died at age 58 in late August while awaiting suitable donor organs for a heart and kidney transplant.

Rob twice had been the focus of NDAD community benefits earlier this year.

Proceeds from the Oct. 18 benefit at East Grand Forks (Minn.) Eagles facility will go toward paying considerable medical, medical travel and funeral expenses for Hanson, a married father of three adult children.
