NDAD is remembering the late Paul Helgeson of Grand Forks. Helgeson, a married father of three and grandfather of two, died Tues., Feb. 9, at his home at age 54.

Paul was a former North Dakota high school track champion, Eagle Scout and longtime Boy Scout leader, and longtime owner-operator of Odin's Belmont Service.

A cancer patient who also had paraneoplastic, a rare neurological autoimmune disease, Paul was the focus of an NDAD-sponsored fundraiser that culminated with a large benefit in April 2019.

Private family services will be held later. Paul's obituary: amundsonfuneralhome.com/obituary/paul-helgeson/.

NDAD extends our heartfelt condolences to Paul's wife of 32 years, Heather; their three sons and their families; and other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers ,Paul and his family would appreciate donations to the North Dakota Association for the Disabled (NDAD).

People may use the "Donate Now" button at the top of NDAD's past 2019 fundraising page for Paul to donate to Paul's memorial, or use the address listed on that same page to mail a donation to NDAD: /fundraisers/PaulHelgeson/.
