NDAD has expanded its Accessible Van Loan Program to all six North Dakota office locations, making wheelchair-accessible transportation available statewide.

Previously offered through NDAD's Fargo, Grand Forks, and Minot offices, the program will now also be available in Bismarck, Dickinson, and Williston. The expansion helps connect more North Dakotans with accessible transportation closer to home.

NDAD's Accessible Van Loan Program provides eligible full-time wheelchair users and their approved drivers access to wheelchair-accessible vans for approved trips and activities. The program is designed to help reduce transportation barriers, promote independence, and create greater opportunities to participate in medical appointments, community activities, family events, and other important experiences.

“Transportation plays a major role in a person's ability to stay active, independent, and connected to their community,” said Leslie Stastny, NDAD Chief Program Officer. “By expanding our Accessible Van Loans to all six office locations, we're making this resource more accessible to individuals and families across North Dakota and helping ensure transportation isn't a barrier to opportunity.”

The expansion reflects NDAD's ongoing commitment to improving quality of life for individuals facing health challenges by providing resources that support independence and everyday living.

Individuals interested in learning more about eligibility, availability, and reservation procedures are encouraged to contact their local NDAD office.
