NDAD recently marked the 15th anniversary of Mike Gibbens' official service role as ambassador for the longtime charitable nonprofit.
Mike is the same man who, as a child with cerebral palsy, helped inspire his parents to found the North Dakota Association for the Disabled, which officially gained its corporation papers in 1975.
"I'm proud of you Mike -- Congratulations. You inspire me every day," Mike's dad, NDAD co-founder and President Ron Gibbens, said in a Facebook post recognizing his son.

Mike's anniversary was recognized at a Sept. 19 lunch at Red Lobster in Grand Forks, which included some staff members from NDAD's Grand Forks office.
