An edited excerpt from the fundraiser email:
"Some years ago, Anne was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.  During the time since her diagnosis, Jeff and Anne have worked as a team to minimize the impacts to their lives.  It has been an uphill battle.  Jeff continued to work with the Grand Forks Public Schools all while caring for Anne and this summer will retire after 28 years.
Anne’s disease has progressed to the point where round-the-clock care is required.  Jeff is closely involved with her physical therapy and works with her daily.  Unfortunately, this leaves little time for daily chores and housework, not to mention time for his own health.  In addition, medical costs continue to add to the burden.
Many of Jeff and Anne’s friends have asked the question, “How can we help?” The flyer explains the NDAD fundraiser at King’s Walk on June 15th.  We hope to see you there.

If you are not able to attend, click the DONATE NOW button at the top of this page and use your credit card or PayPal account to make a donation (tax deductible if you itemize) to help the Comptons with medical and caregiving expenses.
For almost all their careers in education, the Comptons have dedicated their lives to the youth of this community - Jeff as a football and golf coach at various levels, Anne as an educator and administrator.  This is an opportunity to give back to these two special people during a time when they need it most.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Donations to the Anne Compton fundraiser also may be delivered to NDAD's Grand Forks office during regular business hours or mailed to: NDAD, c/o Anne Compton Fundraiser, 2660 S. Columbia Rd, Grand Forks ND 58201. Please make checks payable to NDAD and write "Anne Compton" on the memo line.
